Young viewers choose favourite stars

The votes of up to two million young viewers will tomorrow try and determine just which pop star – Will Young or Gareth Gates – is the better entertainer.

The Pop Idol winner and runner-up are set to go head to head as nominees for the title of best male in the Disney Channel Kids Awards.

Joining the pair in the list of nominees will be Kylie, who faces competition from girl band Atomic Kitten, and solo singers Sophie Ellis Bextor and Samantha Mumba for the title of best female.
