Anthony Royle set for footballing career

Ralf Little could be about to give up acting for a career as a professional footballer.

Little, who plays Anthony in the Royle Family series, has been approached to train with Hartlepool United.

He has also attracted interest form Swindon and Millwall.

He tells The Sun: "I'd pack it all in to play for Hartlepool."

Hartlepool manager Chris Turner approached Little after seeing him play in a charity game.

Turner told the newspaper: "I expect he will train with us and I will see how it goes."

Little is making a BBC documentary about his attempts at becoming a professional footballer.
