Eastenders star faces drink-drive charge

EastEnders star Elaine Lordan was due to stand trial today accused of drink-driving.

The 35-year-old actress, who plays Lynne Slater in the soap, is due at St Albans Magistrates Court in Hertfordshire.

She is alleged to have registered nearly one-and-a-half times the legal limit in a breath test.

She was stopped on the Barnet bypass in north London in the early hours of July 4 last year.
