Robin Williams is certainly turning out some highly interesting work these days.

He was excellent playing against type as the villain in Insomnia and here he plays a sad loner whose world involves the printing of other people's photographs as a supermarket lab-technician.

It is a confined world in which he prints up all the photos and keeps them as his own ... until fantasy and reality clash in what is a gripping and complex thriller of vast and heartening originality.

And Williams truly is quite stunningly brilliant as the lonely no-hoper who lives through the photographic memories of others.

Director Romanek has fashioned an outstanding, thoughtful and adult gem.
