Saucy exit for Eastender's Lucy

Lucy Benjamin is clearly determined to leave EastEnders with a bang.

The actress, whose character Lisa is being written out of the show, has been adding a little extra to her snogs with Phil Mitchell.

The couple are an item in real life and, admits Lucy: "We've been playing a little tongue tennis, when we've been snogging.

"I thought: why not? Steve (McFadden, who plays Phil) isn't going to complain and I don't think the viewers are either!"

But her bosses might just take a different view.

Although EastEnders is highly successful, Beeb executives are sensitive to criticism of the show, especially in matters of taste.

They were hauled over the coals for an episode, a couple of years ago, in which Mel Healy and company went on a raunchy hen weekend to Amsterdam.

As for how Lisa leaves EastEnders, just think: rapid exit from Albert Square, a taxi ride to the airport and a flight to sunny Portugal, with baby Lou in tow.

Will lover Phil Mitchell be happy to say goodbye to Lisa and daughter? Not a chance! He'll be in The Algarve before you can say: "Folically-challenged, east end thug."
