De Niro lined up for horror-thriller

Actors Robert de Niro, Greg Kinnear and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos are in final negotiations to star in the horror-thriller Godsend.

The movie is directed by Nick Hamm and production is scheduled to begin in November in Toronto, Canada for a 2003 release date.

Godsend, written by Mark Bomback, is described as being in the vein of the classic horror film Rosemary’s Baby and last year’s hit The Others which starred Nicole Kidman.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is about a couple (Kinnear and Romijn-Stamos) who lose their son in an accidental shooting.

Devastated, they enlist the help of a scientist (played by De Niro) to try to bring their child back.

De Niro is currently starring in the States in the film City By The Sea with Spider-man actor James Franco.
