Internet twins couple prepare for show

Alan and Judith Kilshaw, the couple who adopted twin girls over the Internet, were today making final preparations for their sell-out theatre show.

The show, Meet The Kilshaws, is a public question-and-answer session with the much-criticised couple.

Chester’s Gateway Theatre, where the show takes place tonight, bills it as "a chance for the general public to meet them face-to-face unspun and unedited".

It also warns that the £8(€12)-a-head event is not suitable for children.

Mrs Kilshaw said: "This is a chance for us to tell our side of things and clear our name."

The couple adopted the twin girls in the United States in December 2000 before taking them back to their home, which was then in Buckley, North Wales.

The children were later removed by social services and the Kilshaws failed in a legal bid to win custody.

The twins were returned to the United States.

The Kilshaws have since gone bankrupt and lost their six-bedroom farmhouse in Buckley. They now live in a bungalow in Chester.
