Rapper arrested over rape allegation

Rapper Mark Morrison was arrested today in connection with an allegation of rape, it has been revealed.

Morrison, 30, was held in the early hours of this morning in Kensington, west London, where he was staying in a hotel.

He was arrested after a woman phoned police alleging she had been attacked.

Detectives were interviewing her today.

Following his arrest, London-based Morrison was taken to a police station in west London and was later bailed to return there next month.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “A 30-year-old man was arrested in Kensington in connection with an allegation of rape.”

Morrison shot to fame six years ago when his single Return Of The Mack topped the charts.
