Starsailor begin recording second album

Starsailor have begun rehearsing the follow-up to their hit LP Love Is Here.

The band say they've already written 10 good songs but will probably come up with more in the studio.

And they've recorded two tracks with the legendary producer Phil Spector, who last worked with the Ramones.

Lead singer James Walsh says it was an honour to work with him.

He told Radio 1: "He's just an enigma really. What was great about him was how down to earth he was and how he treated this as being as important as recording with John Lennon and things.

"That's not to be big-headed or anything, but he was still enthusiastic. It wasn't like - 'Oh gosh, I've got to do this band. Why couldn't I have got the Bruce Springsteen album or something?'"
