I don't believe it, says Aniston

The camera catches Jennifer Aniston as she clutches her head in disbelief after winning an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for her role as Rachel Green in Friends.

It’s the first time the actress has picked up an award at the Emmys, which are known as the Oscars of TV, despite two previous nominations and the massive popularity of Friends, which has been running since 1994.

Aniston fought off competition from TV funny women including Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex And The City to snatch the prize, which was awarded at a lavish ceremony in Hollywood last night.

And with Friends also winning the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, it looks like the TV industry has decided belatedly to recognise the success of the show, the future of which is uncertain after its forthcoming ninth series.

But despite this uncertainty, Aniston still cannot believe her luck - and what with a top TV award in the bag and husband Brad Pitt waiting at home, who could not be amused by her reaction?
