Corrie killer to strike again

Coronation Street's Richard Hillman is to murder again later this year.

Producers of the ITV soap have spent two days deciding who will be Richard's next victim.

And they have penned two different plots in a bid to keep the dead person's identity secret.

The possible victims include mother-in-law Audrey Roberts, wife Gail, Jack and Vera and Norris Cole who suspects Richard of being a baddie.

Also included are Emily Bishop, Rita Sullivan, Aidan Critchley, Toyah Battersby, Vikram Desai and Archie Shuttleworth.

Richard, played by Brian Capron, has already been involved in two deaths - he left Duggie Ferguson to die and killed ex-wife Patricia with a spade.

A spokeswoman told Teletext: "We hope it will have the same impact as the hugely successful 1998 plot where viewers were kept in the dark about whether or not Deirdre Rachid was sent to jail until the night of the episode.

"Cast and crew have been sworn to secrecy as we want to keep the victim's identity a closely guarded secret."
