Oasis UK gigs sell out in hours

Tickets for the new Oasis tour were today snapped up by eager fans within hours of going on sale.

The band are playing eight dates at six different venues in December following the success of their Finsbury Park and Manchester gigs earlier this year.

Tickets for concerts in Brighton, Sheffield, Plymouth and Liverpool all sold out “in a couple of hours”, according to box office staff.

Only a few thousand tickets remain for their dates in Birmingham and Cardiff.

Tickets for the Finsbury Park gigs in July sold out in record time, with 70,000 going in just two hours and the band were forced to put on an extra night to cope with demand.

This time the band are performing in relatively intimate settings as the venues range in size from 2,000 to 13,000 capacity.

Tickets remain for the gigs at the Cardiff International Arena on December 9 and at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham on December 18 and 19.
