Salma Hayek arrives in Venice for start of Festival

Salma Hayek has arrived in Venice for the premiere of her new film.

Frida is the opening film at the Venice Film Festival.

It also stars Antonio Banderas and British actor Alfred Molina.

Other celebrities at the Festival include Sophia Loren who is promoting her new film Between Strangers.

The film, which has been directed by her son Edoardo Ponti, is being shown out of competition.

The Venice Film Festival continues until September 8.
