Perrier Award nominees announced

This year's Perrier Award nominees have been announced.

They are Jimmy Carr, Omid Djalili, Noel Fielding, Adam Hills, Daniel Kitson and Phil Nichol.

The winner will be announced at a party at the Edinburgh Fringe at midnight on Saturday.

The best newcomer nominees and winner will also be announced at that time.

The shortlist was drawn up by a ten-strong panel of critics, producers and the public.

Each panelist will now see every nominee's Fringe show again before Saturday's decision.
