Jack Ryder wants 'psycho' role after EastEnders

Jack Ryder says he wants to pile on the pounds and play a "psycho" when he leaves EastEnders.

Ryder, who married ex-Hear'say singer Kym Marsh at the weekend, will leave the show in November.

He says he's grown tired of playing mechanic Jamie Mitchell.

Ryder told OK! magazine: "I've got ambition - I want to spread my wings and play different roles. I don't just want to play a blonde teenager from the East End.

"I want to pile on the weight and play a psycho or something. I want to play someone with a disability, study the part and get into it."

He wed Kym Marsh at St Alban's Cathedral in Hertfordshire on Saturday.

Marsh will also be known as Kym Ryder during her six-album deal with Island Records.
