Eight celebrities are to swap their lavish lifestyles for a campsite in the Australian outback in a new interactive television charity show.

The group, which will include socialite Tara Palmer Tomkinson and Christine Hamilton, the wife of former Tory minister Neil Hamilton, will live in a tiny campsite on rations of rice and water, and at the whim of television viewers who will watch them during a series of live broadcasts.
