Status Quo add Irish dates to tour

Status Quo have added concerts in Dublin and Belfast to their 40-date Heavy Traffic Tour.

The veteran rockers will now kick off their tour at Dublin's Point Theatre on October 26, then play Belfast's Waterfront Hall on October 27.

The tour is due to wrap at Edinburgh's Usher Hall on December 21 and includes concerts in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Glasgow.

Status Quo release a new album, Heavy Traffic - The Album, on September 23.

It was launched with a press conference on Tuesday held on HMS Ark Royal.

A single, Jam Side Down, is released on August 5.
