Tim Deluxe plans to revitalise dance scene with new vocal track

Tim Deluxe has revealed he's planning to start work on a new vocal house track "with a twist."

The Subliminal/Underwater resident says there's a real shortage of good funky tracks at the moment.

And he reckons the key to the success of his Ibiza anthem It Just Won't Do, is its vocals.

Tim will be performing at the Radio 1 Ibiza weekend on Friday August 2, with a live PA from It Just Won't Do vocalist Sam Obernik.

"The dance scene's in a bit of a mess at the moment," he told Ananova.

"Erick Morillo, Darren Emerson and myself have found ourselves playing lots of old tunes because there's no decent tracks out there. People are releasing singles but a lot of them are just naff and people don't really know what they're doing.

"Clubbers want something to sing along to. There's too much of this electroclash '80s throwback stuff coming out and not enough vocals. But I think vocals are making a comeback.

"I'm going to do another vocal record. I don't want to reveal too much but let's just says it's going to be something a bit different.

"I got the inspiration from playing an old record - the club always goes mental when I play it. I'm going to bring back something from this track and if I get it right, it will be just what the scene needs."
