Colm Ó Maonlaoí gets Eastenders axe

Tom Binns is being written out of EastEnders.

The character, played by Colm Ó Maonlaoí, is being axed after just two months.

A spokeswoman for the show says he was only meant to be in it for a certain amount of time.

According to The Mirror, Tom will be killed off in a storyline that will see a huge fire sweep Albert Square.
