Pamela Anderson to undergo hepatitis treatment

Pamela Anderson has been forced to take a break from her TV and film career, in order to undergo medical treatment for hepatitis C.

She is to have a course of injections of powerful antiviral drugs, which will make work almost impossible.

Anderson says she contracted Hepatitis C by sharing a tattoo needle with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

During an interview with CNN's Larry King Live, she said: "There's lots of side effects.

"It's going to be a year of basically having the flu. Your hair falls out. It's a little kind of chemotherapy.

"I want to do it for my kids, because I don't want to die, basically."
