Feeder drummer warned wife before committing suicide
Feeder drummer Jon Lee told his wife he was "going to do something stupid" before hanging himself.
An inquest in Tredegar, south Wales, heard how the star hanged himself with a metal dog chain from the garage rafters at his home in Miami on January 7.
He had three notes pinned to his shirt.
Lee had been having a "somewhat strained" relationship with his Brazilian model wife, Tatiana Englehart, NME.COM reports.
Gwent Police Coroner's officer Kenneth Le Provost told the inquest Lee made a desperate phone call to his wife before taking his own life.
He said the couple - who have a young son, Cameron - had been separated for a short time, but had been reconciled before his death on January 7.
During his last phone call Lee told his wife: "You need to come home. I'm going to do something stupid."
Tatiana "didn't place any great significance on this remark" at the time, said Mr Le Provost. But when she found her husband dead when she got home that evening.
Coroner David Bowen returned a verdict that Jon Lee had killed himself while depressed. A post mortem examination in Miami revealed hanging as the cause of death.
Lee's bandmates Grant and Taka make their official live comeback at August's Carling Weekend events in Reading and Leeds. Mark Harrison from Skunk Anansie has taken Lee's place.
