Claire Returns

Claire Sweeney's return to Brookside - she's back, for two weeks, at the end of August - shows that the likeable Scouser is a woman of her word.

"I told the boss, Phil Redmond, that I would come back whatever state my career was in and that's what I am doing," says Claire, who plays Lindsey Corkhill.

"I will always owe Brookside a lot. If it weren't for the show, I wouldn't be where I am now."

And that's in a pretty strong position, what with movie and theatre offers.

Claire wowed them in the West End with her performance in hit musical Chicago. She was also made Forces Sweetheart recently.
