Second day of Witnness begins
The second day of the Witnness festival is to kick-off in just a few hours.
Major gardai preparations are underway to ensure that there are no repeats of yesterday’s hour-long tailbacks.
Workers at the venue are spreading wood chipping on the racecourse to try and make sure that the site is safe following Friday’s washout.
The first acts are due on stage at mid-day. Today’s line-up appears to be the stronger of the two, with Basement Jazz, Badly Drawn Boy, and of course the headline act, Oasis.
Gardai are again reporting that there were no major incidents, and expect that despite the mud, it will be a trouble-free Witnness.
