Witnness second day to kick-off

Ireland's largest music festival kicks off its second leg this afternoon.

The Witnness Festival got off to a spectacular start yesterday afternoon, and very few seemed to mind the lengthy tailbacks or the mud-puddle that Friday night's rain made of the Fairyhouse venue.

Over one hundred acts make up the Bill. Yesterday's headliners, The Prodigy, received a thunderous welcome on their return to the Irish stage after an absence of six years.

This evening is set to be no different. A newly reborn Oasis will grace an Irish stage for the first time in five years.

Tailbacks are again expected as an estimated forty thousand revellers make their way to the Fairyhouse.
