Festival-goers head home after ‘secure’ Glastonbury

Thousands of music lovers were today returning home from the Glastonbury Festival leaving behind them not just a two-month clean-up job but high hopes that the event’s future had been secured.

Organisers said they were ‘‘overjoyed’’ at how things had gone and hoped the world-renowned festival would be allowed to continue.
