According to www.variety.com, many people believe the race for the 75th Academy Awards won't really begin until July 12, when The Road To Perdition opens.

Tom Hanks and Sam Mendes are thought to be good bets as nominees.

Other possibilities include The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers, Gangs Of New York, and even Eminem's acting debut, 8 Mile.
