Minority Report tops US box office
Official figures show Minority Report did top the American box office at the weekend.
Estimates had suggested the new Tom Cruise film only just edged out Disney's Lilo And Stitch.
Both films failed to make as much money as first thought.
Minority Report actually made $35.7m (€36.7m) compared to Lilo And Stitch which opened with $35.3m (€36.3m).
"I'd be a little happier if I could have found a couple hundred thousand dollars more. It's as wafer thin as you can make it," said Disney's head of distribution Chuck Viane.
"It's great to be mentioned in the same breath as Spielberg and Cruise and the number one film."
