BBC to make docu-drama on train crashes

The BBC is making a factual drama about the Paddington and Hatfield train crashes, which will examine whether privatisation jeopardised safety.

The proposed 90-minute film, with the working title of Derailed, will tell the story of the inquiries into the tragic accidents.

It is likely to be broadcast on BBC1 next year.
