Big Bro bars could be removed next week - producers

Big Brother producers have revealed that the house divide will be in place for just one more week after Saturday.

They say the housemates will then be given the chance to unite the house depending on how well they do in their task.

But in this week's task there will be one winner and one loser, who must chose who they want to join them in the rich and poor sides respectively.

Executive producer Phil Edgar-Jones said: "I think the bars have been great. Part of the thinking about them was too make the tasks less predictable and it's stopped people hiding in the house.

"Without the bars we wouldn't have seen the real PJ, the argument between Jade and Adele, and the gladiator rivalry between Alex and Spencer. It really pulls the carpet out from under their feet every week.

"But the bars are not a permanent fixture. They'll be in for another week. There's another very difficult choice for the winner and loser of the task to make this Saturday."

He added that he "very much doubted" the housemates would be allowed to watch the World Cup final if England got through.
