Filming of final Cold Feet series gets under way

Filming is to begin on the fifth and final series of Cold Feet in Manchester next week.

Favourites Helen Baxendale and James Nesbitt will be back, following their characters' tear-jerking climax in Australia last year.

The new series will comprise four 90-minute episodes to be shown on ITV1 early in 2003.

Viewers will see Adam and Rachel embarking on family life with their little boy Matt, with realisation dawning on Adam that baby definitely makes three.

Pete and Jo return from Australia to find life with mother-in-law is not quite as sunny as Sydney.

David and Karen discover an amicable divorce is not as easy as it might seem.

And Ramona is taking a few siestas with a local lifeguard.

A spokesman for Granada said: "I'm delighted the show is back for one last series as a result of popular demand. We want to go out with a bang and Mike Bullen has come up with some fantastic storylines."
