Big Brother denies playing down steamy scenes
Big Brother's producers have denied playing down the fumbling under the sheets between Jade and PJ.
Production company Endemol says it had discussions with Channel 4 over how much of the scene to show.
But it says there was no rift with the broadcaster.
Endemol's creative director Peter Bazalgette told Media Guardian: "Obviously we wouldn't show anything explicit.
"The only discussion was about how much fumbling under the duvet to show, whether it would be 30 seconds, 40 seconds or 50 seconds. It was the first apparent sexual act, so obviously there was a debate."
He denied Big Brother had "played down" the affair by not referring to it in the commentary.
Mr Bazalgette said the show did not try to "lead" viewers but allowed them to "make up their own minds".
And Endemol decided not to refer to the what went on in Big Brother's Little Brother because it was first broadcast before the watershed at 7pm.
