Church to make her film debut

Charlotte Church is to make her film debut in a new romantic comedy.

She is to play a young girl who dreams of becoming a singing star in The Family Business.

Charlotte will start filming later this month, once she's finished taking her GCSEs.

Her mother Maria told www.icwales.icnetwork.co.uk: "This is a new venture for Charlotte - both with acting and changing her sound vocally. There will be a few surprises for people as Charlotte won't be singing classical songs.

"We have been involved in this film for about a year and a half since the director, Craig Ferguson, said he would write a script specifically for Charlotte.

"Charlotte is excited but quite nervous about acting".
