Peter Gabriel marries companion on Italian island

Singer Peter Gabriel has married his companion at the hotel he owns near Sardinia’s Emerald Coast, his publicist said today.

Caroline Turner said Gabriel and Meah Flynn tied the knot on Sunday at Li Capanni hotel in northern Sardinia.

‘‘It was quite a low-key, private ceremony, with friends and family, a low-key, Peter-type wedding,’’ said Turner.

The two have been together for five years, Turner said, declining to give details about the wedding, but adding: ‘‘They’re both quite private.’’
