Bardot receives 7,000 death threats

Brigitte Bardot claims she's received 7,000 death threats because of her opposition to the World Cup being played in South Korea.

She is against the country's tradition of eating dog.

The actress and animal rights protester insists the threatening letters and phone calls will not stop her campaign.

She spoke in Vienna during an acceptance speech after being awarded a trophy for her animal rights work.

She said: "The South Koreans tell me it is part of the traditional culture. But eating dog is not any sort of culture, its just grotesque and cannot be defended.
