Supermodel bride Schiffer hides under blanket

Claudia Schiffer hid under a blanket to avoid press photographers as she left for her wedding in Suffolk in England.

The German supermodel sneaked out of a hotel to make her way to church covered by the blanket.

About 200 locals gathered at the entrance to the church in the hope of catching a glimpse of Miss Schiffer.

Asked why she was making such efforts to avoid being seen by the public, the spokesman said: "I can say only five words. It is a private wedding."
