Star Wars fans find 40 blunders
Space blockbuster Attack Of The Clones has prompted moviegoers to feel the farce after they spotted a string of blunders.
Film website movie-mistakes.com has been inundated with irate emails from buffs who have spotted nearly 40 cock-ups in the latest Star Wars instalment.
Site creator Jon Sandys said he had nothing against the movies, but eagle-eyed fans among the 10,000 daily visitors had simply decided to share the slip-ups they had seen.
They include:
:: Shifting shadows - when Anakin and Padme are outside Lars’ house, their shadows move about 4ft to the left between shots.
:: Unconscious blunders - Padme has been knocked out when Dooku’s ship is traced to a hangar. But when she awakes she refers to the ship’s destination, of which she would not have been aware.
:: Switch hitch - while on the planet Tatooine, Padme is seen pressing a button then moments later presses the same one to carry out an entirely different function.
:: Poor background checks - Palpatine is seen addressing the Jedi Knights near the beginning when the same animated background of flying ships can be seen repeated again and again.
Sandys - who runs the site alone - said: ‘‘It’s not about criticising movies, just a list of all the things from your favourite films you’ll be amazed you missed and might have fun spotting.
‘‘I love the Star Wars films, and films generally - but I worry that one day someone will get in touch assuming that I hate the movies they’ve made.’’
