Witherspoon lined up for Legally Blonde sequel

The director of Legally Blonde is considering a script for a sequel to the movie.

If it is given the go-ahead, Reese Witherspoon will reprise her role of law student Elle.

Legally Blonde 2 would see her character heading to Congress and the White House.

Director Robert Luketic told E! Online: "We're going to wait to see what the material is.

"Ultimately, it's the screenplay that will decide, because we don't want to bring shame on the first one, like many sequel productions do."
