Three new short films have been commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland in Belfast as part of their seven-year-old Northern Lights project, which has so far yielded 19 such highly-regarded mini-movies.

Controversial novelist and screenwriter Ronan Bennett (Love Lies Bleeding, Rebel Heart) and Seamus Keenan will make Do Armed Robbers Have Love Affairs, while noted actress Frances Tomelty (The Field) makes her writing debut with Coronation Day.
