EastEnders sweeps boards at awards
EastEnders has swept the boards at the British soap awards - winning 10 of a possible 16 awards.
It's ITV rival - Coronation Street only won one award.

:: Hero of the year - Stuart Manning (Night and Day).
:: Best story line - Brookside bullying plot.
:: Best on-screen partnership - June Brown and John Bardon (EastEnders).

:: Special achievement award - Tony Holland, creator of EastEnders.
