Star Wars film takes more than £2m (€3.1m) on first day in UK
The new Star Wars film is on course to become one of the UK's biggest box office movies.
Early figures show Episode 2: Attack Of The Clones took £2.3m (€3.2m) on its first day.
That's more than for The Fellowship Of The Rings but less than the first Harry Potter film.
The UK figures were boosted by midnight screenings at many of the 463 cinemas showing the new Star Wars film, reports Screen Daily.
It also took more than $25m (€27m) on its opening day in the US.
