First September 11 film completed

Work has just been completed on the first film about the September 11 attacks.

The Guys stars Sigourney Weaver, Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon.

The film's producers hope to have it in cinemas in time for the first anniversary of the attacks.

The Guys is based on a one-act play written by journalist Anne Nelson, which recounts her experiences in the aftermath of the attacks.

She had to help a grieving Brooklyn fire chief compose eulogies for the eight men from his unit who'd lost their lives when The World Trade Centre came down.

Weaver plays Nelson in the film, while the shattered firefighter is played by Anthony LaPaglia.

The movie was directed by Jim Nelson, Weaver's husband.
