Stringfellow seeks Dublin club

Peter Stringfellow has plans to open a nightclub in Dublin before he retires to Majorca.

The 61-year-old nightclub boss wants to open the club before emigrating from his London base. He currently lives in an apartment above his infamous club Stringfellows.

He has bought a villa on the Mediterranean island and plans to settle down there.

"It is time for me to ease back a little bit. I have bought a beautiful villa and I am going to live there with my girlfriend Lucy. I haven't had my own house for four decades. But it finally feels right to live in a proper home.

"Over the years I have done more partying than any rock star - even Mick Jagger. I am not retiring, but I am leaning back a little bit. I've been doing this since 1962 and it's made me deaf in my left ear.

"I feel ready to settle down and the house is fantastic. I'm getting old - I'll be in a wheelchair before I know it - so this is something I need to do for myself."

Now he has just two clubs, one in London and another in Paris.
