Tweenies and Teletubbies to meet their match

A new pre-school TV show is set to rival the Tweenies and the Teletubbies this autumn.

Fimbles features three characters who will educate young viewers by 'exploring their magical world'.

It will be aired on CBeebies and BBC2.

Fimbles differ from the Teletubbies by speaking actual English, rather than a copycat baby language.

The new show is aimed at two to four year-olds.

130 episodes are currently being made by Novel Entertainment for the BBC, reports The Media Guardian.

BBC Worldwide has given Fisher-Price UK the toy licence rights to the series.
