Alice In Chains singer 'died from accidental overdose'
Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley died from an accidental overdose, according to a post mortem and toxicology report.
Heroin and cocaine were found in the singer's body.
The 34-year-old drug addict was found at his home in Seattle, Washington, with drug paraphernalia near his body.
Staley's body was found on April 19 - test results indicate he died two weeks earlier, www.mtv.com reports.
A public health spokesman for Seattle and King County, Washington, said in a statement: "The King County Medical Examiner's office has determined the cause and manner of death for Layne Staley.
"The cause of death was acute intoxication due to the combined effects of opiate, heroin, and cocaine. The manner of death is accident."
