Anna Friel still linked to Brookside Close

It's amazing what impact a really good soap opera storyline can make.

Anna Friel has long since left the confines of Brookside Close and made several big screen movies, including Me Without You, Land Girls and MadCows.

"But it's still the body-under-the-patio storyline that people want to mention to me when they recognise me in the street," says Anna, who played father-burying Beth Jordache in the Liverpool soap.

Anna returns to TV, in June, when she appears in political drama Fields Of Gold (it's about GM farming) on BBC1.
