Ant and Dec say they are The Likely Lads

Ant and Dec say they are very similar to Terry and Bob in The Likely Lads.

Ant McPartlin thinks he's like James Bolam's character Terry because of his world weary attitude.

Declan Donnelly feels more akin to Bob, formally played by Rodney Bewes, because he can be 'a right drip'.

Ant told The Daily Mail: "It's almost like Terry against the world a lot of the time. He has a view on everything. He's always right. I can be a bit like that."

Dec said: "And I'm under the thumb, like Bob. A right drip."

Rodney Bewes plays a cameo role in the Geordie duo's remade episode, No Hiding Place.

The former SM:tv presenters were apprehensive about meeting Bewes, but soon warmed to the actor.

Ant added: "I was nervous about meeting Rodney Bewes. I didn't know what he'd be like, but he was great."

A Tribute To The Likely Lads will be shown later this month on ITV1.
