Beckham and Owen set for sitcom roles
David Beckham and Michael Owen are being lined up to appear in a new sitcom.
Trevor's World Of Sport is about a sports agent and will star Neil Pearson as Trevor.
The series has been written by Andy Hamilton, who also wrote Drop The Dead Donkey.
Real-life agent, Jon Holmes, is acting as an advisor to the show. He looks after both Beckham and Owen as well as Steven Gerrard.
Jimmy Mulville, managing director of Hat Trick, which is producing the series, told The Times: "Trevor is a decent man caught up in a booming industry where teenage footballers earn more than movie stars.
"He has a ruthless counterpart in his business partner Sammy and a client list that, as well as featuring a range of real sports stars, will also feature entirely fictional characters."
Trevor's World Of Sport is expected to be shown on BBC1 next year.
