Robbie 'to hire island for film'

Robbie Williams is in talks about hiring an island to film his first movie.

Robbie has been in contact with David Whittaker, the owner of Weddell Island, which makes up part of the Falkland Islands.

Mr Whittaker says they have been discussing the possibility of Robbie "renting" the island. He says the island makes for "an interesting backdrop for action movies".

He told the Sunday Express: "We have had several BBC films shot here over the years and a major blockbuster is set to start shooting soon.

"If Robbie decides to take up his option, he will probably wait until that filming is finished but there is enough room for two film crews".
