Ricky Gervais planning stand-up show

Ricky Gervais is working on his first full-length stand-up show.

He will be performing his show after finishing work on the second series of The Office.

Animals opens at the Soho Theatre on July 1, and runs for two weeks.

The show is described as an exploration of Ricky's fascination for the animal kingdom.

Bafta-winner Gervais says his biggest worry about the hour-long show is that he's "never had to go that long without sitting down or eating."
