No death penalty charge for Blake

Prosecutors will not seek the death penalty against actor Robert Blake if he is convicted of murdering his wife, the Los Angeles district attorney’s office said yesterday.

Prosecutors will instead seek a sentence of life in prison without parole, the office said.
